PalpayasamVery Popular

A rich, delicious sweet milk and rice pudding prepared inside the temple kitchen. It is considered the most beloved food of Lord Krishna and is distributed daily after noon poojas.

ThulabharamDaily Ritual

Devotees are weighed on a huge scale against materials like sugar, jaggery, bananas, coconut oil, butter, or gold. The material used is then donated to the temple. Highly auspicious for health and fulfillment of vows.

NeypayasamSweet Offering

Rice cooked in pure ghee and melted dark jaggery. It has a longer shelf life and is highly preferred by travelers carrying prasadam home.

Udayasthamana PoojaAdvance Booking Req.

A total of 18 special poojas conducted from sunrise to sunset. This is the most prestigious pooja, and the waiting list can run into years. Booking needs to be coordinated well in advance.

KalabhabhishekamAuspicious

Anointing the deity with highly aromatic sandalwood paste mixed with saffron and camphor. The sandalwood is later distributed to devotees as divine prasadam.

Choroonu (First Feeding)For Infants

The baby's first solid food feeding ceremony, conducted in the outer courtyard of the temple. Devotees believe this ensures the child's lifelong health and prosperity.

How to Book Vazhipadus

Most general offerings like *Palpayasam* and *Neypayasam* can be booked directly at the Devaswom counters inside the temple courtyard on the day of your visit. For *Thulabharam*, the counter is located in the northern gate. If you wish to book special poojas online, you can visit the official Guruvayur Devaswom website.
